A temporary URL allows you to quickly test and use web applications without the need to add an A record each time. This makes it easier and faster to deploy and experiment with websites, saving time during development and testing phases. CloudStick provides the flexibility to use one of your own domains as a temporary URL to prevent spam activities. To use a temporary URL, CloudFlare integration with CloudStick is required. Follow the steps below to set up a temporary URL.
Steps to Set Up a Temporary URL in CloudStick:
Login to your CloudStick Dashboard.
Click on DNS: You can find the DNS option on the left-hand side or at the top of the screen.
Select Your CloudFlare Account:
If you have already integrated your CloudFlare account with CloudStick, you will see the list of domains available in your CloudFlare account. If you haven’t integrated CloudFlare with CloudStick yet, click here for a guide on how to integrate your CloudFlare account.
Choose Your Domain: In the list of domains, click on the Action Menu next to the desired domain and select Set as Temporary Domain.
Select Your Server: After setting the temporary domain, choose the server where you want to use this temporary URL.
Website Configuration: Click on Website and select the type of website (for example, WordPress, Joomla, etc.). Enter your email address and the web application name.
Generate Temporary URL: Click on Use Temporary Domain/URL. CloudStick will automatically generate the temporary URL for you to use.
This feature makes it easier to deploy and test web applications more quickly without making changes to your DNS setup repeatedly.
