How to Install CloudStick in Vultr

This section identifies the purpose of deployment of CloudStick in Vultr compute instance and covers step by step procedure to install.

Illustration covers the creation of Vultr and configures to deploy CloudStick.

Prerequisites

• Log on to vultr.com and create an account and sign in.
• Log on to cloudstick.io and signup your account

What we are going to do

• Create Vultr instance
• Deploy in CloudStick

Creating Vultr Cloud Compute

step1: web page shows where you are required to log in using your login details.

 

Step 2 : You will see the mail console once you log in to the Vultr

 

Step 3: Once logged in please click on the + button that you see on the right side and choose “Deploy new server”

 

Step 4: Select the Cloud Compute from the list and proceed by scrolling down, you will be asked to choose the geographical region, You would require to choose the nearest geographical location.

 

step 5: Scrolling down, please choose the OS Ubuntu: You can use 16.04/18.04/20.04 any of them

 

step 6: Proceeding further, you can select the key and give the server Hostname and Label

 

 

step 7: Without any further delay, please click on “Deploy Now” button. This will procure the Vultr Cloud Compute

Step 8: The Vultr Compute is ready to use. For checking the root password of the Vultr compute go to the server and check out the summary page: A sample screenshot is given below

 

Step 9: Click on the eye and note down the root password of the Vultr compute.

 

Signing In to CloudStick

Our onboarding process is quite easy, Enter your email, password and username, Confirm the email and that is it. You are onboard.

Now, sign in to the account

The landing page will be a fully functional dashboard with all the functionalities

You can connect the server using the very first option in the dashboard:

Select the provider and give the Server Name and IP address and click on Add the server

All you would require is to enter the server credentials here

Once you click on start installation, it will commence the process and your server will be provisioned within a few minutes:

Have realtime progress of the installation.

The installation closes to finish

The installation progress can be viewed and within few minutes, attains completion Your server is ready to manage from the CloudStick dashboard.
